01.09: In control of the bridge, Etox ghosts the frigate’s system as a squad of legionnaires and a boarding response team close in on the attackers. A hellhound moving in front of the legionnaires, after being blasted by frag grenade thrown by the dog soldier, arrives first spewing fire. One of the grimfangs burns, but the rest are protected by the reckoner’s psychic barrier. Horkos charges striking down the hellhound and is confronted by a Martian tribune who he fells in single combat. In response, the reckoner is badly wounded by the legionnaire’s guns. Having reached the security-node, Etox is fried by Martian net ops and dumped by systemic overload. Driven back by the dog soldier and grimfangs, the legionaries attempt a tactical withdrawal, by are consumed by a thermite grenade hurled by Fenris. Etox recovers and manages to get his slate working. On Ransom’s orders, one of the grimfangs fires a grenade from a Gladius Rifle at the approaching boarding response team, but ricochets it off the wall at his feet. Ransom falls on it taking the frag with his screen. Back to his feet, Ransom takes out the BRT with a lobbed frag grenade. Using Ransom’s wired date spike, Etox jacks back into the system and takes his revenge wiping net ops from the system. Ransom and a pair of grimfangs make for the rail gun controls while Fenris and the rest of the attackers make for the port weapon’s array. Etox seizes control of the Central Command Unit and uses a remaining hellhound to mercilessly burn a squad of legionnaires guarding the engine room; then starts disabling system. Ransom’s team takes the rail gun control and Fenris’ team takes the port weapon’s array.
